Temple Gwathmey Steeplechase Foundation (TGSF) is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit fundraising arm of the National Steeplechase Association (NSA), the official governing body and sanctioning authority for U.S. steeplechase jump racing, headquartered in Fair Hill, Maryland.
Founded in 1996 as the National Steeplechase Foundation and renamed in 2018,
TGSF is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing jump racing in America.
TGSF supports the sport by making grants to nonprofits for safety improvements,
youth programs, promotion of sportsmanship and fair competition, protection of
the health and safety of racehorses and jockeys, training of competition officials,
educating and supporting the development of amateur riders, and promoting these
principles to the general public.
Its funding decisions are guided by leaders from the TGSF, the National Steeplechase
Association and specialized committees.
